Scooter Joring / Dryland Mushing are dog powered sports for the summer months. The scooter used for this type of sport looks just like a bicycle, but instead of sitting on the seat, you stand. Standing makes this sport much easier because if you feel yourself falling, you are able to jump off more easily than with a bicycle! Scooter Joring takes on average (depending on the dog) about 3-6 months of training every day or every other day to be able to begin to enjoy a dog that will not stop to "smell the roses" and will turn left or right on your command. |
